Get To Know Moe

  • Current City Councillor for Ward 12.

  • Moe and his family have been residing in Southeast Edmonton for more than 44 years; residing in Bisset, Jackson Heights and Summerside.

  • He graduated in 1991, from the University of Alberta, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics.

  • Served 25 years with the Edmonton Police Service, instructed the D.A.R.E program for 16 years and retired from service as a Detective

  • For over 15 years, he has educated students about drug awareness through the D.A.R.E program.

  • He has taken leadership roles in youth sports and cultural organizations.

  • Former Director of Edmonton & District Soccer Association (EDSA).

  • Former President of Punjab United Sports and Heritage Association, in which he has helped plan and executes a portion of the development of the multi-million dollar Ivor Dent Sports Park, in partnership with the City of Edmonton.

  • He understands the importance of finance, planning and budgeting at all levels of government for long-term sustainability.

  • He has a proven track record in the community as a volunteer, leader and a visionary.

    • Inter-Municipal Regional Development Committee

    • Utility Committee.

  • AUMA (Alberta Urban Municipalities Association) - City of Edmonton representative 

    • Director, Cities over 500,000

    • Board of Directors, Audit & Finance 

  • AMHSA: Alberta Municipal Health & Safety Association (Director - Representing AUMA)

    • The AMHSA Board of Directors are a group of individuals who are passionate about occupational health and safety, and represent various municipalities and interests from across Alberta. 

  • Anti-Racism Advisory Committee - Council representative.

  • Serves on the City’s Traffic Safety Initiative Team.

    • Vision Zero Initiative - Safe Mobility Strategy

    • Street Labs Program
